Saints of Bliss have been performing regularly over for the last few years and their exposure has been international; appearing at events in South Africa, Namibia, Scotland and Ireland. The Saints have produced and released 2 albums, of which 5 singles reached #1 on several radio stations around South Africa. Their first album “Show Me The Way” was extremely popular in local and international music scenes. “In A Sea of Sound”, their second album, had a deeper glimpse into the Saint’s dynamic and inspirational style of indie pop/rock music.

But that’s just a glimpse into a life’s dedication, hosted by the Quinton brothers. A new chapter has begun in their musical careers, and after ending their 5 year record deal with Sting Music, David Quinton (Dr Groove) and Jonathan Quinton (Jono) headed for the UK to take their talent to the next level. They were soon joined by an accomplished musician, David Shaw (Shawzyee), from Scotland, who has now became the official 3rd member of the band.

While working with an incredible production team and low budget, Saints of Bliss dedicated the last 6 months of their life’s full time into the production of their new single “Don’t Hide Your Love” and it’s official music video. The new single is available on iTunes, Amazon MP3 & Google Play etc.

This introspective Emo/Pop/Rock three piece get off to a flying new start with their new single. It’s not a pure Emo, it’s not pure Rock, neither is it pure Pop, but when the music blows you away with its rhythm, when the tune is so catchy that you can’t get it out of your head day and night, and the lyrics are so sweet that your girlfriend may even cry, then you know this is Saints of Bliss and who cares what the music is called!

I didn’t know much about this band until I heard their most recent music. So I decided to go out and pick up the new single and boy was I surprised. It turned out to be one of those rare songs that just grab you straight away. You want to press replay and let it play again; especially if you were into Blink 182 or Sum 41 or if you even have the slightest affection for British indie/rock music, as this threesome locks it up all into one tight sound.

The beat is insistent, the riffs are catchy, and the vocals are clean….basically this is one of the best produced indie emo/pop singles I have heard in a long time. They have found a great balance between hard riffs and memorable melodies. You find yourself walking around later singing the catchy words, and not being able to wait until you can hear this song again.

Saints of Bliss have fleshed out their style of quick-fire guitar playing and driving punk-induced monotone rhythms, into full-fledged pop songs with variety and feeling. So far so good; judging by their previous material that can be found on their websites, this band just keeps getting better and better. I can’t wait to see if they can keep it up, ans where they’ll end up next!

I look forward to their next album, but for now I’ll enjoy “Don’t Hide Your Love” and maybe try their last album out as well. All in all, I can’t recommend this group highly enough. They’re just about perfect for what they do.
