Recently we reviewed the track King Louie by Tommy Deep, the 26-year old DJ-Producer who has long experimented with new sounds, striving to create club-based music with strong roots in the soul genre. Deep said that “King Louie” is a culmination of ten years of working on his technique and audio engineering, as well as developing his own unique musical style.
King Louie was released on December 1st, 2014 through the INSOMNIFIED record label on Beatport, iTunes, Amazon and other major digital download platforms. With its synth-based chords and rolling bass lines, “King Louie” was conceived to set club dance floors on fire.
And if that sounds like the apex of any dance track’s foremost aspirations, think again. INSOMNIFIED have just dropped 4 remixed versions of “King Louie” to satisfy the widest EDM tastes. The ‘Deep House’ remix by MAGNETIE, a ‘Progressive House’ remix by LAEL BELLOTTI, an ‘Electro House’ remix by ROCKET JUMPER and finally the ‘Drum’n’Bass’ remix by MODIFIED MOTION & FACTION.
These remixes in my opinion are quite amazing. For those needing a dance floor fix, each remix of “King Louie” serves up all of EDM’s trademark dance beats, syths, basses, breakdowns, build-ups and excellent electronic flourishes. Here, all of remixing Producers’ emotive energies and raw musical capabilities have been focused into this track. If you’ve wondered what the music part of good dance music sounds like, here’s as good a place as any to start.
