ABBA-CONDA X4XX describes “Ch. X” as a mixtape up close and an album from a distance. That distinction captures a project built around shifting moods and attitudes rather than a conventional narrative sequence. The record reflects a period marked by serious personal difficulties while maintaining an underlying belief in self-worth and perseverance. Its production is entirely shaped by ABBA-CONDA X4XX, from the beats and instrumentation to the vocals and overall arrangement. As the eight tracks unfold, the album gradually moves away from fantasy and toward a more exposed vision of human experience.
ABBA-CONDA X4XX has quietly released “Ch. X”, an eight-track reflection of his personal life within 21st century western culture. Available now across all platforms via. Independent release. Recorded over the summer of 2026 at August Sunset Private Production Studio located in La Crosse WI, ‘Ch. X’ sets a particular stylistic standard for ABBA-CONDA X4XX, incorporating elements from artists such as Kate Bush and U2 while remaining centered around various traditional American Hip-Hop styles.
An artist on an island, ABBA-CONDA X4XX, produced, wrote and performed every track of the album, leaning on synths, drum kits, 808’s, and keys, within the beat production, and a rich selection of female vocal samples serving as choruses throughout. His voice was captured using a Neuman TLM 102, with a dbx 286s serving as pre-amp and vocal channel strip, topped off by gentle EQ and compression built into the Allen and Heath QU-16 Mixer used as an audio interface and monitoring processor. The only outside contribution to the album is a feature appearance of the female Australian Rapper, Honey-b-sweet, on the opening track ‘La’.
When asked which part he found the easiest and which the hardest, he responded, “Beat making was the easiest. I found the final stages of mixing as well as mastering to be the most difficult. But after listening to the advice of mixing legends Chris Lord Algae and Manny Marroquin, I was able to piece together what needed to be done. I can thank Bob Katz and the folks over at Waves for helping me figure out the mastering properly. Those guys are the best. They have my unwavering gratitude for the meticulous attention to detail they put into their work.” When asked about the use of A.I. in any of his productions, ABBA responded “Never.”
‘Ch.X’ portrays an outlook on life that the artist describes as “phenomenological” which, to define in brevity, is a philosophical mode of discussing existential phenomena through the medium of personal life experiences. Each of the album’s eight tracks deliver a variation in poetic style, symbolism, and lyrical delivery, with a stylistic center becoming apparent as the album draws to a close.
“It’s a mixtape up close, and an album from a distance”, says ABBA-CONDA X4XX. “There’s no chronological element to the tracks, as much as there is a shift in attitudes and moods, a diving deeper. Away from the idealized and towards the realistic, a human reality away from the luxurious. The majority of this album was written while I was undergoing bankruptcy and sickness from metal toxicity. So it is an audible window to real struggle, and real confidence, since I had nothing to lift me up aside from the value I put into myself as a child of God.”
In a genre where the majority of new works share many commonalities in terms of theme, composition and arrangement, ABBA-CONDA X4XX stands out in sound, name, and message. When asked which track he thought was the best, ABBA responded “‘Stand Up’, it’s the most human of them all. It is divided into three sections; betrayal from friends, betrayal from someone you love, and then fighting for confidence going forward from that. All in the face of general feelings of distrust, but persevering despite an onslaught of unfortunate events. I love how the beat sounds and it’s got a great chorus and bridge to it as well.”

Due to publishing claims and infringement suits on underlying components unknown to the artist at the time of mastering, three tracks were omitted from the publication, but can be heard on the artists YouTube channel. ‘Poly (The Original Mix)’, ‘Tide, Lift Me’, and ‘I Don’t Miss Who I Was’ which features a never before heard sample from the hip-hop artist Drake. ABBA-CONDA X4XX is an independent hip-hop artist and producer out of La Crosse WI. He is associated with Paul J. Williams, the DJ from Outer Space. His sound is an infusion of alternative hip-hop, art pop, and synth wave. First appearing under the label Rexius Records with three singles, ‘Poly’, ‘Opinions of Sheep’ and ‘Goldbands’. He would later go independent and publish the single, ME2, followed by the album ‘Failure to Launch’ a three song E.P.
featuring the tracks ‘Poly, OG’, ‘Where the Rain Man’, and ‘jesus pieces (london alley remix)’ During the harsh onset of his sickness, ABBA-CONDA X4XX released ‘The Gardens (feat. Paul J. Williams)’ showcasing his production work. Once fully recovered, he released the album ‘Ch. X’, which he considers to be a more complete reflection of who he is as an artist. Due to concerns for his mental health, ABBA-CONDA X4XX has refrained from partaking in social media excluding the posting of his content.
