Central Iowa’s Orphic Illusion has officially unleashed their highly anticipated debut full-length album, ‘Redefine’, on June 1, 2025.
Since their formation, Orphic Illusion has quickly risen to become one of the Midwest’s most compelling heavy acts. Fusing the ferocity of metalcore with the punishing intensity of deathcore, the band has built a passionate following through relentless energy, introspective lyrics, and a commitment to authenticity. Their DIY ethic and impressive self-produced releases have earned them critical praise and features in independent music sites and metal publications worldwide.
Orphic Illusion’s journey began with their debut EP, ‘Building an Empire’, which established their reputation as a force within the regional scene. The single “Burn It Down” quickly became an anthem of resilience, igniting mosh pits and generating online buzz. Their follow-up, “Resistance,” further showcased the band’s ability to channel both personal and societal unrest into tightly constructed, emotionally charged tracks.
