Remember your high schools pop punk band? Ever wondered what they are doing now? Well here’s your answer… The lead singer decided he wanted to stay up drinking beer and watching basketball with friends, while the guitarist went off doing drugs and the drummer well this was Wiesinger.
Wiesinger didn’t exactly have a better story himself in fact he ended up falling into depression with his life quickly spinning out of control, leaving him in Alberta hospital. Wait what? How did he end up in hospital?
He ended up having a life-threatening manic episode in which he ended up in a wild car accident and a police foot chase. There’s not anywhere to go after that other than hospital so this is where wiesinger found himself.
To deal with his medication induced depression – Wiesinger took up learning the guitar, sitting alone for days writing songs and hopeful rhymes believing that one day this depression will pass.
Wiesinger’s new calling
Well eventually it did and that time alone led Wiesinger to his new calling! To make great heart felt music that deeply touches millions of people and ‘All My Friends’ is one of those…
‘All My Friends’ explores the difficulty that many couples had during the 2020 lockdown, where they were separated for months not being able to hold or touch their significant other. Even though housemates, flatmates, friends or even family were still around, it will never be the same as having that all important person there next to you!
Even if you didn’t experience this in lockdown or even if you haven’t been in a long-distance relationship, this song will still make your heart feel whole with its beautiful acoustic guitar melody, cool contemporary drums and smooth vocals from Wiesinger and Beth.
