Skullytron, born Loreto Carlone, grew up with video games and circuit boards, while his dad played keyboards and his mum is a painter. Since a kid he loved listening to electronic music from his father’s collection. Skullytron has produced for many well-known names in the music scene and his collaborations range from DJ’s to classical pianists and rock bands. Following the single release of “Dreams” last year, he went on launching his 6-track debut EP “Syndicate”.

skullytron-400Skullytron is one of the lushest, most ravishing electronic producers of the upbringing brigade I have heard in a long while. A fusion of spirit and nature, his music sounds like the essence of Mother Earth singing to us. It flows and ebbs in so many ways. Your mind can take the journey into a realm that is not quite human, but is deeply moving and spiritual. It involves the mind, body and spirit which Skullytron implements to the fullest to make the best mixture of rhythm, melody and harmony. Anyone who wants to relax or meditate and feel the moods of emotion that he lets the listener become a part of should not miss “Syndicate”.

Going from synth pop, tech house, tropical house, electro house and a classical electro piano tune, “Syndicate” has all the qualities linked to EDM and modern ambient soundscapes created by the most in vogue, chart-busting electro-producers of our time, but Skullytron is so much more, he could be on a relaxing Buddha Bar collection with one track, such as “It Was Just A Summer Fvck” or “Back To Earth” – just as much as he could feature on an epic cinematic soundtrack with a song like “Secrets” or maybe rip up the dance floor with the progressive “Scared Of Goblins”!

All of the tracks together form a coherent whole and provide the listener with a large amount of musical variety in progressive music. “Syndicate” clearly has a musical foundation in early electronic music, but it simultaneously explores new avenues within the modern progressive music genres.

skullytron-680Skullytron uses a variety of polyrhythms, textured soundscapes and beautifully soothing vocals that help to distinguish his music from the masses. But probably his most distinguishing factor is that unlike most electro producers, he does not forego melody for rhythm. While his beats are both snappy and banging, the keyboards or vocals always ensure the existence of a tuneful melody throughout his music.

The depth you find in each track is something only an incredible producer can create. Penetrating and potent, the songs lead us into depths of our own personal exploration; an emotional vehicle for releasing our imagination, with beats and sounds that cast incantations and conjure specters of spirits and arcane worlds.

With the release of “Syndicate”, Skullytron proves that he is a breathing taking artist, as his music covers a wide range of feelings and impressions, while having a great sense of melody and is almost symphonic in its approach. “Syndicate” is an expanding digital tapestry of colorful sound!
