Thomas Bisdee aka Kissy Sell Out, born in Huntingdon, Cambridgeshire, England, is a British/Canadian DJ, producer, graphic designer. Kissy Sell Out gained notability in 2006 for his eccentric electro productions and energetic DJ style. In 2009 Mixmag described him as “one of the most exciting, charismatic and entertaining DJs of the decade”. In addition to his DJ work he has released four albums – Youth, the critically acclaimed follow-up Wild Romance,[Introducing Kissy Sell Out and San City High All Stars.
From 2007–2012 he hosted a very successful BBC Radio 1 show called the Kissy Klub. Kissy Sell Out also composed official music for the 2012 Olympics ceremonies held in London. A few months back Kissy dropped a set of remixes entitled “Give Me Your Hand”, featuring remixes by Sonic Snares, Storm and FRNKROK. The track also features Elliot Chapman.
After the stunning success of his previous works, Kissy Sell Out returns with a set chock full of hard-hitting House gems. This is dance through and through. Each remix finds that nerve that makes you wiggle with every beat, but the remixes themselves resonate with the feeling that you find in pop tracks.
There is a melody, a talk of love, a cry to do things right. The vocalist brings his own personality through the various, stellar electro-vibed House beats, whether it be “Give Me Your Hand [SONIC SNARES Remix]”, “Give Me Your Hand [STORM Remix]”, or “Give Me Your Hand [FRNKROK HOUSE Remix]”.
The Carrillo Music Label is actually the name that drew me to this set the most. I do appreciate Kissy Sell Out and all that he does, and seeing his name attached to the quality of the Carrillo Music roster, was just too much to pass up, especially with the set boasting 3 diverse remixes by Sonic Snares, Storm and FRNKROK. “Give Me Your Hand” is definitely a dance stomper. It is a great electro composition that starts small, promises big, and delivers with gusto.
Elliot Chapman performs the vocals for this track, and if Kissy Sell Out and Carrillo Music play their cards right it could be a bona fide club hit. It is a truly spectacular piece of music, and I find myself tapping my foot, or walking to the beat, and thanks to the incessant vocal hook which repeats: “Give me your hand”, I’m thinking about it at some point throughout the day.
“Give Me Your Hand” by Kissy Sell Out, featuring remixes by Sonic Snares, Storm and FRNKROK would appeal to anyone who likes EDM, regardless of its subgenres, as it gives your heart an electric charge and your feet a reason to move. Another winner from America’s hottest independent dance music label – Carrillo Music!
