Alisa Chirco sure isn’t shy about revealing what’s on her mind, on her brand new single “Give Me More”, the follow up to her almost gothic-like pop ballad “Box”. Alisa sounds passionate, wanting and determined, in a driven rock song that is an anthem for empowered women. Her music here is very strong, has meaning, and is legit. The track shows that she is learning to emote in a more visceral and arguably more demonstrative way. Alisa has now escalated to being a rock chic with an attitude and bold open-confessional lyrics. A sensible direction for any reinvention is maturity, and there is plenty of that on “Give Me More”.

It’s quite a typical progression; a deeper sense of introspection and inquisition accompanies the fierce identity of the song, and Alisa’s artistic aspirations benefits largely from it. Jumping straight into darker tones with pop-rock commendable enough to annul any negative connotations of the term, the haunting tones and hard edges of the track prove a considerable effort in the direction of artistic maturity.

Alisa Chirco’s infectious and alluring vocals are even beyond what you expect after “Box”. Not to mention, she proved herself to be unafraid to completely change her style of music rather than rest on her laurels. This confidence and certainty is the benchmark for how terrific this record would be.

Getting back on topic, “Give Me More” is a perfect example of Alisa’s talent, as well as the instrumentation backing this track. The musicality is showcased with daunting ease and exquisite mastery.

I find myself, after initially hearing this track, continuing to succumb to its catchy chorus, imposing rhythm, and impeccable vocal performance from Alisa. Lyrically too, the track succeeds, gaining a relatable and listenable magnetism to its merit. “Give Me More” makes a virtue out of emotional simplicity, lyrical transparency, and sonic virtuosity. It hits you like a wall of sound, manipulating your emotions and overpowering your senses with beautifully crafted verses and choruses.

Alisa Chirco now only needs to attune her image and attitude to create the perfect pop-rock match, if she hasn’t done so already. She will then possess all the advantages of a potently attractive brand and stridently independent women hell-bent on making her way in the music world.

Personally, I think that this track feels vital and fresh because of what resides inside of it. Context also has a lot of power in music, and Alisa’s motifs will fully resonate with progressive self-assured women who desire more in life and love.

The title “Give Me More” makes no bones about the narrator’s intentions. There’s no gradual immersion into the song, as Alisa reaches out and yanks you by the collar from the very start. It makes for compelling listening from a songstress just getting into her stride. Clearly, the single, like Alisa Chirco, has earned the right not to be overlooked.
