Trey Connor hasn’t hit stardom just yet. But that’s because his Debut CD “While Everything Is Now” is only releasing to the general public on the 15th of December 2016. From the moment that I put the EP on, I was pleasantly surprised at how upbeat and unique the music sounded. The opener “What You Are (My Spark)”, is a surprisingly catchy song that grabs your attention with its anthemic and organic musical arrangement.

Not to mention Trey’s urgent, soaring and almost gravelly vocal delivery, peppered with some falsetto interludes. Whatever the title of the EP had prepared me for, this obviously was much more than I was expecting.

The second track, “Stay” was also a very nice change in pace, and some of the sound effects and how Trey’s voice weaves in and out of the pumping beat just creates this increasing feeling of building energy. I think that’s what I like most about Trey Connor; his voice and the way that it blends in with the music and just amplifies every song.

Songs like “Hold On” and “You” are enjoyable rock-infused ones that I can promise you’ll always crank the radio right up for if they were to come on. And if like me, you have a penchant for the slower acoustic driven stuff, the sound and style changes at times as well, like on “My Ghosts”.

At the core it’s still the positive pop sound derived from various elements of different genres, with shining vocal lead-melodies. Trey then switches back to more banging pop-rock sound on “Best Of Days” to close the EP.  All these songs are just written insightfully and they’re produced masterfully.

No doubt, 19 year-old singer-songwriter Trey Connor is set to debut with a batch of playfully rolling, foot-stompingly infectious anthems, where he celebrates his roots with a booming production and high energy vocals.

The production together with Trey’s songwriting and performing talents puts Connor into the modern pop-rock realm with a bang. Plus his mix of whimsical and incisive lyrics and knack for writing singalong melodies will make fans fantasize with the deeper emotions they will definitely plumb from these musical creations.

Trey Connor’s debut record features almost all catchy and upbeat tracks he wrote himself, about romance, relationships and personal feelings and experiences. Compared to others in his lane, Trey has a raw sounding voice which resonates with shining brilliance on these songs, and he also plays some solid guitar to enhance your listening experience even more.

Trey Connor, the former leader of the band, Bulletproof Snow, will unveil his debut solo EP “While Everything Is Now” on Cave Radio Broadcasting’s weekly Friday night show “The A List”, hosted by Aimee List and Ron Russell.  The event format will include airing and discussing the EP, as well as live acoustic performances by Trey.

Listeners tuning in will be among the first to hear the new music and will have the opportunity to receive a free digital version of the EP recorded and produced at Tommee Profitt Studios. Trey McLaughlin Music is the Hartland, MI based, music artist management and publishing company for Trey Connor.
